As we approach the MPL Drafting Day on 6th December, please take note of the qualification criteria and important tournament information:

Qualification for MPL Captains’ Selection

🔹 Men’s Doubles Open

* Top 16 Teams (Round of 16) will qualify for the MPL Captains’ Selection.

🔹 Women’s Doubles Open

* All players automatically qualify.

🔹 Senior Mixed Doubles (SMD) Open

* All players automatically qualify.

🔹 Men’s Doubles Novice

* Top 16 teams (Round of 16) will qualify for the MPL Captains’ Selection.

🔹 Women’s Doubles Novice

* All players automatically qualify.

🔹 Senior Mixed Doubles (SMD) Novice

* All players automatically qualify.

📌 Round-Robin Advancement & Bye Allocation

For all categories:

✅ The Top 2 teams from every group will advance to the knockout stage.

The number of bye games in the knockout bracket will depend on the total advancing teams.

These bye positions will be allocated to the top-seeded group winners.

Example:

If there are 8 bye spots, the Group A–H winners (top of each group table) will automatically receive a bye and progress to the next round

This ensures a fair and consistent seeding structure based on performance in the group stage.
